Board Member: Char Jambor-Valenzuela - Biography and Photos.
Char Jambor-Valenzuela was appointed to the St. Clare Board of Directors in August 2007. Her seat will be up for reelection in January, 2009.
Char was raised in Sturgis, SD and moved to Denver CO when she was 20 years old to finish college and earn her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado, “GO BUFFS”.
Char met her husband Dave at a wedding in Denver 5 years ago, September 2002. Their relationship was love at first sight and moved very quickly, within 3 months they were engaged and within 6 months Char had moved from Denver to CA to be with her San Fernando native fiancé.
The year 2004 was big for Char and Dave. They got the last house in the Atley Court phase in Feb. 2004, received the keys to their new house July 2004, and then they were married in September 2004. Char and Dave have recently added an addition, Nickolas who was born Dec. 5, 2006. Their family is now complete; happily married, a beautiful son and our “pocket puppy”, Cleo the rottweiler.
Char had worked for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals from May 2003 until the recent company wide layoffs in April 2007, which has allowed her to be a stay at home mom now. But the drive and energy that made her successful in her career is what made her want to be on the Board of Directors for the St. Clare Association. She attended one HOA meeting and decided she had to be a part of the decision-making that could affect her friends and her neighbors.
Char’s interests include camping, hiking, fishing, bike riding, walking and football; what can I say, I grew up with boys. Other than being active outside, Char and Dave like to entertain for friends. We like to cook and enjoy all the company.
