Board Member: Mark E. Hinsey - Biography and Photos.
Mark E. Hinsey was appointed to his seat on the St. Clare Board of Directors in June 2008, filling the vacancy left by departing member, Ross Gibby. His seat will up for re-election in January 2009.
Mark is a native Californian. He grew up in West Covina in the San Gabriel Valley. He has one sister. He is a graduate of Edgewood High School and received a Bachelor's degree from California State University at Los Angeles and a Master's degree of Business Administration (MBA) from Pepperdine University, Malibu. Mark has various and sundry degrees with more than 21 years of higher education.
Mark has served on non-profits as a Chairman and sat on several committees. He is currently the Webmaster for the St. Clare HOA and maintains other sites a well. Many of his current activities have involved High Tech: he has just recently received an A.S. Degree in Computer Networking and is a CCNA, CCNP. He has served as an educator and consultant with many of largest companies in the greater So. Calif. Area.
Mark’s Mother is Italian and he spent 2 years in Europe in his early years. During that time, he experienced the art and culture of the Renaissance as well as that of ancient Rome and Greece. He developed a lifelong fascination with history and art. “History is not was, but is.” – Shelby Foote.
Mark met his wife of 8 years, Helene, through mutual friends and they have been together for over 10 years. Helene is a native New Yorker and enjoys the “big” city. His wife is accomplished in her own right and has a Master’s of Theatre Arts. Mark enjoys spending time with his cats and viewing sports.
Mark and his wife enjoy travelling and have been fortunate this year to travel to New York; many places in California; Missouri; Florida; Washington; Lake Tahoe and are planning trips to the garden isles of Hawaii and Maine.
